‘s-Hertogenbosch Open: Bergs reaches last eight, takes out Popyrin

Belgian Zizou Bergs advanced to the last eight of the ‘s-Hertogenbosch Open by edging out Australian Alexei Popyrin, the No 4 seed, 6-7 (3), 6-2, 7-6 (3) at the Autotron Rosmalen on Thursday.
Bergs, ranked No 63, will face Estonian qualifier Mark Lajal next.
In the previous round of the Rosmalen tournament, the Belgian edged out qualifier Alexander Blockx (6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (3)).
