Santiago: Baez outlasts Comesana in second round
Sebastian Baez scraped past Francisco Comesana in a third-set tiebreak on Thursday in Santiago. Baez will face Bosnian Damir Dzumhur in the quarter-finals.

No 3 seed Sebastian Baez moved into the quarter-finals of the Chile Open by edging out Francisco Comesana 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (5) at the Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago de Chile on Thursday evening.
Baez came back from 5-3 down in the third-set tiebreak to prevail after two hours and 33 minutes.
The world No 31 will next play Bosnian Damir Dzumhur.
In the previous round of the Santiago tournament, Comesana, ranked No 67, defeated Brazilian qualifier Felipe Meligeni Alves (7-6 (3), 7-6 (4)).
