Sebastian Korda moves into third round at Shanghai

American Sebastian Korda, the No 26 seed, moved into the third round of the Shanghai Masters by winning against Chinese wildcard Yunchaokete Bu 6-1, 6-4 at the Qi Zhong Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Korda, who reached the Astana final last week (loss to Mannarino), has won seven of nine matches since the US Open.

Korda, ranked No 26, will play the winner of the match between Chilean Cristian Garin and Russian Daniil Medvedev, the second seed, next.

In the previous round of the Shanghai tournament, Bu, ranked No 186, benefited from the abandonment of Serb Miomir Kecmanovic (6-7 (6), 6-2, 2-1).
