Shelton on track in Auckland, through to semi-finals

American Ben Shelton, the top seed, won against Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the last four of the Auckland Open at the ASB Tennis Arena on Thursday night.
Shelton, ranked No 16, will play Japanese Taro Daniel next.
The 21-year-old American defeated Hungarian Fabian Marozsan (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Auckland tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Carballes Baena, ranked No 67, won against Roberto Bautista Agut (6-4, 6-3) and Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the No 7 seed (7-5, 6-3).
