Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics edged out Canadian Denis Shapovalov 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Stuttgart Open at Tennis Club Weissenhof on Tuesday.
Fucsovics, ranked No 86, will play the winner of the match between Australian Nick Kyrgios, the No 8 seed, and Chinese Yibing Wu next.
