Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 4 seed, advanced to the second round of the Swiss Indoors by winning against French lucky loser Quentin Halys 6-1, 7-6 (3) at the St. Jakobshalle. in Basel on Wednesday.
This is Ruud’s fifth consecutive win on Tour after his win in Stockholm last week.
Ruud, ranked No 11, will play Swiss wildcard Stan Wawrinka next. The Swiss veteran got his first win on the Tour in 2025 beating Miomir Kecmanovic: 6-1, 7-6 (3).
