British qualifier Liam Broady moved into the second round of the Tel Aviv Open by beating Serb wildcard Hamad Medjedovic 7-5, 6-3 at Expo Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

Broady, ranked No 174, will face Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp, the No 5 seed, next.
