Top seed Medvedev implodes as Opelka reaches Rosmalen semis

Top seed Daniil Medvedev double-faulted on his last three service points as he was upended 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) by American Reilly Opelka as he was beaten in the quarter-finals of the Libema Open in s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, on Friday afternoon.
Medvedev led 4-1 in the second-set tiebreak but then imploded as Opelka won six of the last seven points to take his place in the semi-finals.
Opelka, ranked No 87, will play the winner of the match between Belgian Zizou Bergs and Estonian qualifier Mark Lajal next.
In the previous rounds of the Rosmalen tournament, the American beat Dutch wildcard Jesper De Jong (6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-2) and Chilean Nicolas Jarry (7-6 (5), 6-3).
Medvedev, ranked No 11, defeated French lucky loser Adrian Mannarino (7-6 (6), 6-4) in the previous round of the Rosmalen tournament.
