Toronto Masters: Atlanta finalist Vukic upsets Coric to reach second round

Australian lucky loser Aleksandar Vukic won against Croat Borna Coric, the No 14 seed, 6-2, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Toronto Masters at the Aviva Centre on Tuesday evening.

This was the first top 20 win for the 27-year-old. His previous best was over world No 31 Yoshihito Nishioka in Atlanta two weeks ago.

Vukic, ranked No 62 and a finalist recently in Atlanta, will play American Sebastian Korda next.
