Kotov advances to last 16 at Winston-Salem Open
Pavel Kotov battled past Alexandre Muller in three sets on Tuesday at the Winston-Salem Open. Kotov awaits Zachary Svajda in the next round.

Russian Pavel Kotov, the No 15 seed, defeated Frenchman Alexandre Muller 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 to reach the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon.
Kotov, ranked No 63, will face American lucky loser Zachary Svajda for a spot in the quarter-finals.
In the previous round of the Winston-Salem tournament, Muller — ranked No 76 — ousted Constant Lestienne (6-3, 6-2).
