No 7 seed Andy Murray defeated Chinese wildcard Ye Cong Mo 7-5, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Zhuhai Open at the Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Centre on Thursday.
Murray, ranked No 41, will face Russian Aslan Karatsev next.
