The World Anti Doping Agency (WADA)’s appeal in the Jannik Sinner doping case will be held on April 16 and 17, the Court of Arbitration for Sport announced on Saturday.
Sinner tested positive twice for the banned drug Clostobol in March last year but was cleared of any wrongdoing after proving cross-contamination from a drug his doctor was using for a cut on his own hand.
The International Integrity Agency (ITIA) decided not to ban Sinner as a result but WADA decided to appeal and is seeking a ban of at least one year.
Sinner is the defending champion at the Australian Open, which begins in Melbourne on Sunday.
