Injured Berrettini joins Sinner on sidelines for Italy at Davis Cup Finals
Berrettini says he will still travel to Malaga to support the team

Italy will be without Matteo Berrettini and Jannik Sinner for this week’s Davis Cup Finals in Malaga.
Sinner, ranked No 15, had already pulled out with injury and Berrettini, the world No 16, joined him on the sidelines on Sunday.
“Sadly I have lost my recovery race to be ready in time for the Davis Cup Finals,” Berrettini said on Instagram.
“The medical experts have advised that I am still not able to compete at my highest level following the foot injury l suffered in Naples. There is no greater honour than representing Italy so the news is very hard to take. I will still travel to Malaga with the team to support in anyway I can.”
Italy is due to play the United States in the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup on November 24.
