Roland-Garros: Paolini gains confidence

Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 4 seed, advanced to the third round of Roland-Garros by defeating Australian Ajla Tomljanovic 6-3, 6-3 at Roland-Garros in Paris on Wednesday.
Paolini, ranked No 4, will play the winner of the match between Ukrainian lucky loser Yuliia Starodubtseva and Russian Anastasia Potapova next.
The Italian won against Chinese Yue Yuan (6-1, 4-6, 6-3) in the previous round.
During the first round, Tomljanovic, ranked No 71, beat Maya Joint (6-1, 6-3).
