Roland-Garros: Paul makes last 16, maintains 100 per cent record over Khachanov

American Tommy Paul, the No 12 seed, reached the last 16 of Roland-Garros by beating Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 24 seed, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7), 3-6, 6-3 on Friday.
He has now won all three matches he has played against Khachanov.
Paul, ranked No 12, will face Australian Alexei Popyrin, the No 25 seed, next.
The American won against Dane lucky loser Elmer Moller (6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-3, 6-1) and produced a stunning comeback to beat Hungarian Marton Fucsovics (4-6, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of the Roland-Garros 2025, Khachanov, ranked No 24, won against Australian Aleksandar Vukic (6-4, 6-4, 6-4) and Austrian Sebastian Ofner (7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2).
