US Open: Djere dispatches Nakashima in straight sets to reach second round

Serb Laslo Djere, the No 32 seed, moved into the second round of the US Open by winning against American Brandon Nakashima 7-5, 6-4, 6-4 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.

Djere, ranked No 38, will face the winner of the match between Japanese qualifier Sho Shimabukuro and French qualifier Hugo Gaston next.
