US Open: Etcheverry upsets No 29 seed Cerundolo, meets Zverev next

Tomas Martin Etcheverry reached the third round of the US Open by beating No 29 seed Francisco Cerundolo 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3.

Etcheverry, ranked No 33, will play German Alexander Zverev, the No 4 seed, next.

Ahead of his victory, Tomas Martin Etcheverry won against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (6-4, 6-2, 6-3).

Cerundolo, ranked No 29, won against Austrian Sebastian Ofner (5-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the US Open.
