US Open: Keys books spot in second round despite a bad start against Yastremska

Madison Keys won against Dayana Yastremska 7-6 (3), 6-3 on Monday evening. She’ll play Italian Camila Giorgi in the next round

American Madison Keys, the No 20 seed, reached the second round of the US Open by beating Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska 7-6 (3), 6-3 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Monday.

Keys, ranked No 20, will face Italian Camila Giorgi next.
