US Open: Krueger through to second round

American qualifier Mitchell Krueger moved into the second round of the US Open by edging out French qualifier Hugo Grenier 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on Monday.

Krueger, ranked No 179, will play the winner of the match between Hungarian Marton Fucsovics and No 32 seed Jiri Lehecka next.
