US Open: Norrie beats Hsu in straight sets to make third round

No 16 seed Cameron Norrie moved into the third round of the US Open by winning against qualifier Yu Hsiou Hsu 7-5, 6-4, 6-4 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Norrie, ranked No 16, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Fils and Italian Matteo Arnaldi next.

Ahead of his victory, Cameron Norrie defeated Russian Alexander Shevchenko (6-3, 6-2, 6-2).

Hsu, ranked No 237, beat Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis (6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3) in the previous round of the Flushing Meadows tournament.
