US Open: Parry downs Keys slayer to reach third round
Diane Parry edged out Renata Zarazua 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7) on Thursday and will play Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 27 seed, in the next round

Frenchwoman Diane Parry moved into the third round of the US Open by edging out Mexican Renata Zarazua 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7) at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on Thursday.
Parry, ranked No 106, will play Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 27 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 22-year-old Frenchman defeated Czech Petra Kvitova (6-1, 6-0).
Zarazua, ranked No 73, edged out American Madison Keys, the No 6 seed (6-7 (10), 7-6 (3), 7-5) in the previous round.
