Chilean Alejandro Tabilo won against Pole Kamil Majchrzak 6-1, 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-1 to reach the second round of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Monday.
Tabilo, ranked No 71, will face American wildcard J.J. Wolf next.
US Open (Grand Slam), other first-round results so far :
- Alejandro Davidovich Fokina beat Yoshihito Nishioka: 6-3, 7-5, 6-3
- J.J. Wolf beat Roberto Bautista Agut (16): 6-4, 6-4, 6-4
