Serb Novak Djokovic, the No 6 seed, edged out Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 22 seed, 6-7 (6), 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 to move into the last 4 of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Wednesday evening.
Djokovic, ranked No 6, will face Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, next.
The 38-year-old Serb defeated Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 11 seed (1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4), Miomir Kecmanovic (6-3, 6-0, 6-4), English wildcard Daniel Evans (6-3, 6-2, 6-0) and Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-1, 6-7 (7), 6-2, 6-2) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of The Championships, Cobolli, ranked No 24, won against Croat Marin Cilic (6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3)), Czech Jakub Mensik, the No 15 seed (6-2, 6-4, 6-2), English wildcard Jack Pinnington Jones (6-1, 7-6 (6), 6-2) and Kazakh qualifier Beibit Zhukayev (6-3, 7-6 (7), 6-1).
