Alert – Wimbledon: Djokovic advances to quarter-finals

Serb Novak Djokovic, the No 6 seed, edged out Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 11 seed, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Monday.
Djokovic, ranked No 6, will face Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 22 seed, next.
The 38-year-old Serb won against Miomir Kecmanovic (6-3, 6-0, 6-4), English wildcard Daniel Evans (6-3, 6-2, 6-0) and Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-1, 6-7 (7), 6-2, 6-2) in the previous rounds of The Championships.
Earlier in the tournament, De Minaur, ranked No 11, defeated Dane qualifier August Holmgren (6-4, 7-6 (5), 6-3), French qualifier Arthur Cazaux (4-6, 6-2, 6-4, 6-0) and Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (2)).
