Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 7 seed, won against American Hailey Baptiste 6-1, 6-3 to move into the last 16 of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Saturday.
Andreeva, ranked No 7, will face the winner of the match between No 17 seed Barbora Krejcikova and American Emma Navarro, the No 10 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 18-year-old Russian beat Egyptian Mayar Sherif (6-3, 6-3) and Italian Lucia Bronzetti (6-1, 7-6 (4)).
Baptiste, ranked No 55, defeated Romanian Sorana Cirstea (6-7, 6-1, 6-2) and Canadian lucky loser Victoria Mboko (7-6 (6), 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
