Wimbledon: Kostyuk advances third round for the first time

Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk advanced to the third round of Wimbledon when Spaniard Paula Badosa retired on Friday at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.
Kostyuk, ranked No 36, led 6-2, 1-0 when Badosa, ranked No 35, pulled out at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Friday.
The 21-year-old Ukrainian will play the winner of the match between Swiss qualifier Viktorija Golubic and American Madison Keys, the No 25 seed, next.
In the previous round of The Championships, Marta Kostyuk defeated Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 8 seed (0-6, 7-5, 6-2).
The Spaniard won against American Alison Riske-Amritraj (6-3, 6-3) in the first round of The Championships.
