Wimbledon: Impressive Pegula scores quick-fire win over Tsurenko, plays Vondrousova in quarters

The American has now reached the quarter-finals at all the four Majors at least once in her career

Jessica Pegula, the No. 4 seed, impressed in her fourth round match against Lesia Tsurenko, beating the Ukrainian 6-1, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals of Wimbledon in style.

Pegula, ranked No 4, will play former French Open finalist Marketa Vondrousova next.

In the previous rounds of The Championships, the American defeated Lauren Davis (6-2, 6-7 (8), 6-3), Spaniard Cristina Bucsa (6-1, 6-4) and Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto (6-4, 6-0).

Tsurenko, ranked No 60, won against American Claire Liu (6-3, 3-6, 6-4), Katerina Siniakova (6-4, 6-1) and Romanian Ana Bogdan (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (18)) earlier in the tournament.
