Alert: Sabalenka beats Pegula in straight sets in Miami final

Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, beat American Jessica Pegula, the No 4 seed, 7-5, 6-2 to lift the Miami Open trophy at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday evening.
In the previous rounds of the Miami tournament, Sabalenka, ranked No 1, defeated Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova (6-3, 6-0), Romanian qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-1, 0-0 ret.), American Danielle Collins, the No 14 seed (6-4, 6-4), Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 9 seed (6-2, 7-5) and Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 6 seed (6-2, 6-2).
Pegula, ranked No 4, advanced to the final by beating qualifier Bernarda Pera (6-4, 6-4), Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 32 seed (6-7 (3), 6-2, 7-6 (2)), Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 23 seed (6-2, 6-3), Emma Raducanu (6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-2) and Filipino wildcard Alexandra Eala (7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-3).
