Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet won against Estonian Kaia Kanepi 6-4, 6-2 to reach the second round of the Angers Open at the Arena Loire de Trélazé on Tuesday evening.
Paquet, ranked No 186, will face the winner of the match between Gabriela Knutson and Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 8 seed, next.
