Bulgarian qualifier Viktoriya Tomova defeated Linda Noskova 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Bad Homburg Open at the Bod Homburg vor der Höhe on Tuesday.
Tomova, ranked No 58, will play the winner of the match between Russian Anna Blinkova and Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 4 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Bad Hombourg tournament, the Bulgarian won against German wildcard Tatjana Maria (6-1, 6-3).
Noskova, ranked No 26, won against American lucky loser Taylor Townsend (7-5, 6-1) in the previous round of the Bad Hombourg tournament.
