Ferro, ranked No 252, will play the winner of the match between Colombian wildcard Maria Herazo Gonzalez and Romanian Irina Fetecau next.
Fiona Ferro won against Spaniard Aliona Bolsova, the No 4 seed (6-2, 6-1) in the previous round.
In the 32, Jacquemot, ranked No 184, won against Harmony Tan (6-4, 6-4).
