Bogota Open: Kawa makes second round

Pole qualifier Katarzyna Kawa won against Colombian wildcard Valentina Mediorreal Arias 6-1, 6-1 to reach the second round of the Bogota Open at the Country Club Bogota on Tuesday.

Kawa, ranked No 223, will play the winner of the match between Brazilian Laura Pigossi and German Laura Siegemund, the No 5 seed, next.
