Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet, the second seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Bolivia Open by defeating Ukrainian Valeriya Strakhova 6-2, 6-1 on Thursday night.
Paquet, ranked No 108, will face Romanian Anca Todoni, the No 6 seed, next.
The Frenchwoman won against Chilean wildcard Fernanda Labrana (6-0, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Strakhova, ranked No 246, won against wildcard Noelia Zeballos (7-6 (5), 6-1).
