Budapest Open: Dodin books spot in semi-finals
Oceane Dodin won against Lauren Davis 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 on Thursday and will face Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova in the next round
Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin advanced to the last four of the Budapest Open by beating American Lauren Davis 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 at Római Tennis Academy on Thursday.
Dodin, ranked No 106, will face Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova next.
The Frenchwoman won against Romanian Irina Bara (7-6 (3), 6-3) and Russian lucky loser Erika Andreeva (6-4, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Davis, ranked No 97, defeated Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (6-3, 6-3) and qualifier Emma Navarro (7-5, 6-4).
