Charleston Open 125: Cocciaretto books spot in last eight

Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the No 4 seed, beat Spanish qualifier Marina Bassols Ribera 6-0, 6-3 to move into the last 8 of the Charleston Open 125 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Wednesday evening.

Cocciaretto, ranked No 60, will play American qualifier Mccartney Kessler next.

In the previous round of the Charleston 125 tournament, the Italian won against Australian Arina Rodionova (6-3, 6-2).

Bassols Ribera, ranked No 107, won against Frenchwoman Alize Cornet (7-5, 6-1) in the first round of the Charleston 125 tournament.
