Charleston Open 125: Dodin makes quarter-finals

Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin advanced to the quarter-finals of the Charleston Open 125 by edging out Italian Martina Trevisan, the No 3 seed, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (9) at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.

Dodin, ranked No 85, will play Russian Diana Shnaider, the No 7 seed, next.

The Frenchwoman defeated American wildcard Madison Sieg (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round of the Charleston 125 tournament.

In the previous round of the Charleston 125 tournament, Trevisan, ranked No 59, won against Mexican Renata Zarazua (3-6, 6-3, 6-1).
