Charleston Open: Azarenka races past Cocciaretto
Victoria Azarenka won against Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-1, 6-2 on Wednesday night and will play the winner of the match between American Taylor Townsend and Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 6 seed, in the next round
Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 12 seed, won against Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto 6-1, 6-2 to reach the last 16 of the Charleston Open at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Wednesday night.
Azarenka, ranked No 26, will face the winner of the match between American Taylor Townsend and Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 6 seed, next.
Cocciaretto, ranked No 56, edged out Romanian Ana Bogdan (2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (6)) in the previous round of the Charleston tournament.
