Charleston Open: Third seed Sakkari into last 16

Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 3 seed, reached the last 16 of the Charleston Open by defeating Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova 6-3, 6-3 at the Family Circle Tennis Center on Tuesday.
Sakkari, ranked No 7, will play the winner of the match between Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko, the No 16 seed, and Australian lucky loser Astra Sharma next.
Tomova, ranked No 74, won against Egyptian Mayar Sherif (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) in the previous round of the Charleston tournament.
