China Open: Sakkari advances to quarter-finals for fourth event in a row
Maria Sakkari won against Xinyu Wang 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 on Thursday night and will play American Coco Gauff, the No 3 seed, in the next round

Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 6 seed, reached the last eight of the China Open by beating Chinese Xinyu Wang 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 at National Tennis Center in Beijing on Thursday night.
It is her fourth quarter-final in a row, following San Diego, Guadelajara and Tokyo.
Sakkari, ranked No 6, will face American Coco Gauff, the No 3 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Greek won against Linda Fruhvirtova (6-4, 6-2).
Wang, ranked No 37, won against Russian wildcard Vera Zvonareva (6-4, 6-3) and Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 11 seed (6-4, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
