Russian Anastasia Tikhonova won against American Sophie Chang 7-5, 6-1 to reach the last 16 of the Dow Tennis Classic on Tuesday.
Tikhonova, ranked No 188, will play the winner of the match between American Ann Li, the No 5 seed, and Australian Astra Sharma next.
