Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the top seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Dutch Open when American Alison Riske-Amritraj retired at the Autotron Rosmalen in’s-Hertogenbosch on Monday.
Kudermetova, ranked No 14, led 6-3, 3-0 when Riske-Amritraj, ranked No 137, pulled out at the Autotron Rosmalen in’s-Hertogenbosch on Monday.
The Russian will play the winner of the match between Belgian Ysaline Bonaventure and Canadian qualifier Carol Zhao next.
