As previously announced, the year will begin with a series of tournaments in Australia, beginning with a WTA 500 event in Adelaide and two WTA 250s in Melbourne ahead of the Australian Open from 17 to 30 January 2022.

The first WTA 1000 of the season will be held in March in Indian Wells – back in its usual slot after its venture into autumn for 2021 – followed by the second in Miami.

The clay court season begins in the USA with a WTA 500 in Charleston, USA, and a WTA 250 in Bogota, Colombia, from 4 to 10 April. Roland-Garros, the clay-court Slam, will take place from 22 May to 5 June 2022.

This part of the season starts on 6 June in Nottingham or S’Hertogenbosch, two WTA 250s. Berlin (13-19 June) and Eastbourne (19-25) will host two WTA 500s before Wimbledon, which will take place from 27 June to 9 July.
