Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the No 12 seed, reached the second round of the Guadalajara Open Akron by beating American qualifier Grace Min 6-2, 6-0 on Sunday evening.
Kalinina, ranked No 28, will face the winner of the match between American Sofia Kenin and Canadian qualifier Carol Zhao next.
