Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 4 seed, defeated Chinese qualifier YeXin Ma 0-6, 6-1, 6-2 to reach the last 16 of the Hong Kong 125 Open on Tuesday.

Gracheva, ranked No 62, will play American Hailey Baptiste next.
