Hong Kong Open: Fernandez reaches quarter-finals
Leylah Fernandez won against Mirra Andreeva 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 on Thursday afternoon and will face Linda Fruhvirtova in the next round

Canadian Leylah Fernandez moved into the last eight of the Hong Kong Open by beating Russian Mirra Andreeva 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Fernandez, ranked No 60, will play Linda Fruhvirtova next.
In the previous round of the Hong Kong tournament, the 21-year-old Canadian benefited from the abandonment of Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the top seed (2-6, 6-3).
Andreeva, ranked No 50, won against Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (6-4, 6-3) in the first round of the Hong Kong tournament.
