Hungarian Open: Sasnovich knocks out Lamens to reach semi-finals
Aliaksandra Sasnovich beat Suzan Lamens 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 and will face the winner of the match between Avanesyan and Schmiedlova in the next round

Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich edged out Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 to advance to the last 4 of the Hungarian Open at Római Tennis Academy.
Sasnovich, ranked No 134, will play the winner of the match between Russian Elina Avanesyan and Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova next.
The Belarusian edged out Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the second seed (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) and beat Russian Maria Timofeeva (6-3, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Budapest tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Lamens, ranked No 137, won against Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-0) and French qualifier Carole Monnet (6-4, 6-0).
