Russian lucky loser Maria Timofeeva edged out Australian Daria Saville 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of the Hungarian Open at Római Tennis Academy in Budapest.
Timofeeva, ranked No 246, will face Russian Diana Shnaider next.
