Zheng beats Azarenka to book spot in third round of Indian Wells Open
Qinwen Zheng won against Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 6-4 on Friday and will face New Zealander Lulu Sun next

Chinese Zheng Qinwen, the No 8 seed, reached the third round of the Indian Wells WTA 1000 by beating Belarusian Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 6-4 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday.
Zheng, ranked No 9, will play New Zealander Lulu Sun next.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells tournament, Azarenka, ranked No 35, won against American qualifier Clervie Ngounoue (6-4, 7-6 (7)).
