Indian Wells WTA 1000: Tomova cruises past Danilovic in opening round

Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova advanced to the second round of the Indian Wells WTA 1000 by winning against Serb Olga Danilovic 6-2, 6-3 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Thursday evening.

Tomova, ranked No 63, will play No 29 seed Maria Sakkari next.
