Joint cruises into last 16 at Mérida Open

Australian qualifier Maya Joint defeated Austrian Julia Grabher 6-3, 6-2 in round one of the Mérida Open Akron on Monday evening.
Joint, ranked No 103, will next face No 5 seed Donna Vekic.
